What to do in Gozo Cycling

Cycling in Gozo

Cycling in Gozo is a popular pastime for both locals and tourists alike. Whilst mountain biking is most popular in the milder months (i.e. May and October) it is a fantastic way (even in summer) to explore the Island’s stunning scenery and get about the majestic historical capital – Victoria.

On the Island, there is a scheme entitled SIBIT (Sustainable Interregional Bike Tourism) which is run in conjunction with Sicily to create a network of bicycle routes and ‘bike hotels’ across the two neighbouring islands. The SIBIT cycling route in Gozo spans the entire coastline and is perfect for exploring the delights and views that Gozo has to offer.

As part of your SunChateaux Gozo villa holiday, you will have access to complimentary mountain bikes, so cycling is a great way to explore the island. Or, for the more advanced bikers there are a number of off road tracks, downhill tracks and generally more daring routes. Whether you are a novice or a pro, your mountain bike will come in handy when Cycling in Gozo!
